Nah, a hipster is a trend humper. The indie rock and punk crowds have sort of deviated towards being considered hipsters.
Franz, do the cheese steaks you mentioned taste anything like the steaks over this way? The only reason why I ask is, because a lot of places outside of the Philly region don’t do steak the same way or that taste as good.

another place that was off the hook..and it closed..was el gaucho..which was a argentinian steak place and it had great wine and for a decent price. It was of franklin..by that ice cream place.

-Khyber Pass (Afghani)
-Everest on Grand (Nepali)
-Shish (Middle Eastern) great kabobs and outdoor hookah smoking during the summer.
-Sweeney's Saloon (American Pub Food) badass burgers, fish and chips and fries [ask for them cajun style]
-Punch's Pizza (Pizza) Neopolitan style pizza, bomb ass pizza
Minneapolis:
-True Thai (Thai)
-Pizza Luce-Franklin/Seward Neighborhood [great wine list]
-Red Sea (Ethiopian) get the vegetarian platter believe me you'll dig it.
-Acadia Cafe (American Pub food) this spot has the best black bean veggie burger. I'm a meat eater and this is my number one choice there.
-Pagoda (Chinese) this spot in Dinkytown has an extensive menu.
-Camdi (Vietnamese) another Dinkytown spot, go for the lunch special $5 gets you good eating, veggie friendly.
-Kafe 421 (American posh) good menu, another Dinkytown spot.
-La Poblanita (Mexican) try their tortas, out of this world
-Manny's Tortas this spot is the Mexican subway.
-Popeye's Chicken, not the greatest of the popeye's franchise but we're in Minnesota and this one is our only choice.
Jakeeno's (Pizza) go to the sitdown spot on Chicago Avenue and you'll walk away happy
